I think I have to tell you about some nice functions which are avaliable here:
- Layout:
You can coose your layout if you want.... as there is currently only one avaliable it you can choose only between "sunshine" or "default" .... A new layout is everytime available under default and under its name ... so if you want to keep a layout just choose its name. ...
Don't bother about if you color your texts eg. with black ... if there is a black background of the layout the color will be dynamic converted to another color 
Unregistered users can choose the layout too ... but its only stored with cookies then instead of in the database - Diary dates:
All your diary dates will keep private for you and of course you have a delete button for them ...
The public diarydates I add from Mutya's Fanlisting ... of course you can't delete them
You can choose to make a countdown to a specific date if you want that you allways know how long to go till then ...
The countdown is summertime-safe if you have choosen it (only for european countries, which switch their time on last Sunday of March http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daylight_saving_time ) - Subscriptions / Readen:
There is a huge difference between registered and unregistered users there.
First about registered members:
The information if there is any new reply in a thread or in a forum is stored in the database ... so if you visit the board eg. at school and at home the same information will be there. If you close the forum to visit it later again the unreaden threads are still labled as unreaden. ... please do a reset ("mark this forum as readen" some times .. older informations will be deleted which would speed up your site-performance
You can subscribe for a newsletter if there was a new reply on a thread or if there was a new reply/thread in a forum. You can choose which type of subcription you want to have ... dayly, 2 times a day or 4 times a day for each seperatly. You will be notified about the first new reply since you last read the thread or browsed the forum. ... keeping Threadsubscriptions clean will also affect a faster site-performance
Of course there is no guarantee that you will recieve this mails or recieve them twice coz first of all the limit of 500mails/hour can exeed and 2nd the PHP - max_execution_time (which is I think 1 minute) can exeed too while sending the mails....
Unregistered users:
Can't subscribe anything of course... If you have readen a thread or not is stored with cookies. Only the new replys since your last visit are labled as unreaden => if you close your browser the information will be lost ;.and then again since your last visit of the forum. This information is stored for each sub-forum seperately .... so if you only visited eg. "Mutya" and close your browser the information for the other sub-forums won't be lost - BB-Code:
Best thing would be if you are trying out everything clicking on "preview" ... there is not much difference to other boards... additionally you can add youtube-videos with clicking on the video-symbol
If you use a browser which knows where the text-cursor is, the script will add the bbcode at the cursor-position. If you have selected a text and press eg B the text will be surrounded and the cursor will be set after the bold text ... if you didn't select anything the cursor will be set in the middle to write a bold text.
Smilies will be set to the cursor-position too, but if you have selected a text the text will be replaced by the smilie
Restrictions: you can't add youtube-videos and quotes to your signature .... maximum 400 characters, 8 pictures/smilies ... for the postings and private messages: maximum 5000 characters, 20 smilies/pictures, 4 youtube-videos - Compatibility/JavaScript/known errors:
Of course you will need to enable Javascript to use all functions of this board .... anyways, the basic functions should be working without. The forum should be fully compatible to MS IE 6.0 and above and Mozilla based browsers (even some older versions)
Threre are some small errors at Opera 7.54, ... you can't open the "more smilies" window with it .... it can even cause a break-down of this browser.
Also problems are with the name-search at the private messages. If you are typing too fast and then clicking on a found name it could happen that some characters are double => type slow there or don't click on it  ... Netscape 7.01 even crashed while using this function .... if this happens at your browser too, please report it here telling me what browser/operating-system you use
